Curating Designing with AI 2025: Highlighting creative applications and critical thinking
Last week I watched early versions of our Designing with AI case studies, and they gave me so much optimism about the opportunities for AI-empowered design.
When we selected our speakers, we were looking for two things: creativity and critical thinking. And they have truly delivered.
With the amount of AI hype, it's hard to find models of what effective AI adoption actually looks like for product teams in real-world organizations. Erika Flowers, Kritika Yadav, Patrick Boehler, and Aras Bilgen share valuable frameworks (and powerful stories) about what works, what doesn't, and why it matters. I'd love to see more teams follow their example–it would change the industry for the better.
The second day of the conference recaptures what made me want to get into design in the first place: building transformative experiences. Lukas Moro, Ian Johnson, Leahanna Savain, Amy Heymans, and John Donmoyer share how they're using AI for mind-blowing data visualizations, storytelling and code, and even real-world interfaces. I avoid the "AI as superpower" metaphor, but seeing their projects, I feel it.
These speakers give a glimpse of the impact designers, researchers, and writers can have when we bring our best to AI, and I'm thrilled that Rosenfeld Media is facilitating these conversations for our community.
If you're interested in learning the latest in making AI for design actually work, there's no better way than hearing from real-world practitioners.
