How past workshop attendees are applying AI for UX Research

My “AI for UXR” workshop attendees have used what they learned to become AI authorities in their own organizations. I love hearing their stories.

Here’s one that a past attendee gave me permission to share:

👩‍🔬 Applying new methods:

“My colleague and I attended your AI for UX Research course in June. After the workshop, we collaborated on a research project where we applied several of the techniques you taught, including comparing agent outputs during analysis. It was a great opportunity to put your insights into practice.”

📣 Building thought leadership:

“As part of our team’s learning culture…we introduced the prompt canvas and recreated a scaled-down version of the exercise you led, demonstrating how different outputs can result from the same prompts. It was well received and very relevant, especially given the strong organizational push to integrate AI across internal and external efforts.”

I love these stories, because they’re not about operating tools or touting empty efficiency metrics–they’re about showing real leadership:

  • Introducing new strategic considerations through agent experience; and

  • Driving culture change through education about AI validation

The real differentiator today is not being able to operate AI tools, but understanding how they work. A true research expert should recognize how to evaluate them critically, and develop discernment in where and how they’re applied.
